What Are Dentures & Implant-Supported Dentures?

Dentures are custom-made tooth replacement options designed to restore both appearance and oral function. When weighing implant dentures vs traditional dentures, the key difference is stability — traditional dentures rest on the gums and can shift, while implant-supported dentures are anchored directly to the jaw for a more secure, comfortable fit.

Our denture solutions are designed to be:

✔️ Natural-looking and comfortable

✔️ Custom-fitted to your mouth for a seamless smile

✔️ Stabilized with implants for a secure hold (no adhesives required)

✔️ Supportive of long-term oral health and facial structure

Types of Denture Solutions We Offer

Conventional Dentures

Fully removable and crafted after healing from extractions, these long-lasting dentures are designed to perfectly match your facial structure and restore balance to your smile.

Immediate Dentures

Walk out with a complete smile the same day your teeth are removed. These dentures are made in advance and placed immediately, with a permanent set delivered once healing is complete.

Over-Dentures

When possible, we use your existing healthy teeth or dental implants to anchor your dentures for added support, improved function, and better long-term stability.

Implant-Supported Dentures

For the most secure and lifelike experience, implant-supported dentures are fixed to your jaw with multiple implants, eliminating movement and allowing you to eat, speak, and smile with total confidence.

Ok If you read these, read this one, I went here because I hate the dentist, not that I want a new person to dislike, but after reading all of the reviews for the thousands of dentists in this city, this office seemed like the best of the worst, worst because there a dental office and I don't wanna go anyway. So I finally get there, get in the room, meet Monica, aka "Mo", ask for her, she is awesome, gave more of an empathetic feel rather then the usual clinical where does it hurt, ok this is what were gonna do. Start to layout my story of why im here and what im looking to have done, as a dental helper she flipped the script. Oh you need to talk tk Gregg, so im like great, nerves kick back in, anxiety kicks up, then big Gregg Hendrickson walks in, honestly... he seals the deal, gives you the honest answer, the comfort, the ok, this is the guy im comfortable letting do what I need done but don't want to, lots of dental work, they're a one stop shop, if you don't want to waste the hrs of research and happen to run across this review, know I have seen way to many dentists in my life and this place felt different, from even the pre screen interview before you, first time in 50 years I feel confident with the Dr, the staff, and I only met 3, the scheduling money lady is amazing and funny too, but alas I did not catch her name, she will know who she is when she reads this... thanks for taking care of me and I think I have found my dentist for a while

Dentures & Dental Implants FAQs

What is the difference between traditional dentures and implant-supported dentures?

Traditional dentures rest on the gums and may shift during eating or speaking. Implant-supported dentures are anchored to your jaw using 2–6 dental implants, providing a secure, stable fit — no adhesives needed. They also help preserve jawbone and facial structure over time, making them a longer-lasting, more comfortable solution for tooth replacement.

Am I a good candidate for implant-supported dentures?

Most adults with missing teeth and sufficient jawbone density are candidates. A personalized consultation will evaluate your oral health, bite function, and bone structure. Even patients with some bone loss may qualify after a bone graft procedure. The best way to find out is to schedule an exam with our team in Henderson or Las Vegas.

How long do implant-supported dentures last?

With proper care, the implants themselves can last a lifetime. The denture prosthetic typically lasts 10–20 years before needing replacement or adjustment due to normal wear. Regular checkups, good oral hygiene, and avoiding hard or sticky foods all help extend the life of your implant-supported denture system significantly.

Is the implant-supported denture process painful?

Most patients report minimal discomfort. IV sedation and local anesthesia are available to keep you comfortable throughout placement. Post-procedure soreness is normal and manageable with over-the-counter pain relievers. The majority of patients are surprised by how smooth the process is under the care of an experienced implant dentist like Dr. Hendrickson.

How do I care for implant-supported dentures?

Fixed implant-supported dentures are cared for much like natural teeth — brush twice daily and floss using specialized tools or a water flosser. Removable implant-retained dentures should be taken out nightly, cleaned thoroughly, and soaked. Attend regular checkups so your dentist can monitor implant health and make any necessary adjustments to keep your smile in top shape.

How much do implant-supported dentures cost in Las Vegas?

Implant-supported dentures cost in Las Vegas typically ranges from $3,500 to $30,000+ depending on the number of implants needed, whether bone grafting is required, and the type of prosthetic selected. A full arch All-on-4 solution runs higher than a two-implant retained lower denture. At Comprehensive Dental Care, we provide a transparent cost breakdown during your consultation and offer patient financing to fit your budget.

Are implant-supported dentures worth it compared to traditional dentures?

For most patients, yes – implant-supported dentures are worth the additional investment. They eliminate the slipping and sore spots common with traditional dentures, require no messy adhesives, and help prevent the jawbone loss that causes the sunken facial appearance many denture wearers experience over time. Patients consistently report higher confidence when eating, speaking, and smiling after switching from traditional to implant-supported options.
